Destin Golf Courses from West to East

Indian Bayou Golf and Country Club

Tucked into a quiet neighborhood just north of Highway 98 lies two established Destin golf courses popular with locals and visitors alike. Nature comes into play on every hole on the Seminole front nine, featuring wide, merciful fairways and challenging water features. With only two par threes on the Choctaw back nine, long-distance drivers will notice a marked advantage, with hazard placements presenting impressive challenges. Ranked among The Top 25 Courses for Pace of Play, you’ll appreciate a swift game, beautiful layout, and friendly, accommodating staff.

Kelly Plantation Golf Club

It would stand to reason that a partnership between a world-class golf course designer with over 40 years of experience and a former professional golfer claiming 15 PGA Tour titles would produce something special. Indeed, the collaboration between Fred Couples and Gene Bates has resulted in over twenty world-class golf courses, and this 18-hole semi-private venture is no exception. Designed for players of all levels, the course boasts an ambitious round surrounded by lakes, woodlands, and extraordinary views of the Choctawhatchee Bay. Tees named after local vegetation pay homage to the turpentine plantation that once housed the grounds, while chilled apples served on the 10th hole only add to this charming southern experience.

Regatta Bay Golf and Yacht Club

Recipient of numerous accolades, including “One of the Top 15 Courses in Florida” by Golf Digest, this 72-par course also ranks as a local favorite. Located just east of the Mid-Bay Bridge and nestled among nature preserves along the Choctawhatchee Bay, a beautiful layout and immaculate grounds make any day on this Destin golf course memorable. Wetlands dictate fairway and green placement, which can be challenging, but players of all skill levels will find it a fun yet challenging course. Before you arrive, take a virtual tour online or sign up for a lesson with an award-winning PGA professional to tweak your game. Afterward, swing by nearby Destin Commons just minutes away for brunch, happy hour, or a casual dinner on the Coast!

Emerald Bay Golf Club

Considered one of the area’s best, this impeccably designed course is centrally located in the heart of Destin. Situated on the north side of Highway 98 between the Gulf of Mexico and Choctawhatchee Bay, you’ll find 18 holes with challenging water elements, breezy conditions on the back nine, and gorgeous views of the Choctawhatchee Bay.

If you’re looking for updated attire while on the course, the Silver Sands Premium Outlets will have you looking like a pro (even if you don’t play like one).

The Golf Garden of Destin

This 9-hole golf course in Miramar Beach presents seven par threes, two par fours, and ideal conditions for the perfect family outing. More experienced players will confront water hazards on every hole but appreciate the opportunity to work on their short game. Novices can enjoy the sport without being overwhelmed. Fully lit at night in the summer, the 10-acre practice area includes an 18-hole putting green, driving range, and practice areas. Swing by Lulu’s afterward for great music, fresh seafood, and a waterfront view that can’t be beaten!

Seascape Golf and Tennis Resort

Lush vegetation, coastal dune lakes, and views of the Gulf of Mexico are hallmarks that define this course, accommodating every level of play. Swing by the Pro Shop to rent clubs, replenish your gear, or brush up on your skills with a private lesson. Located in Miramar Beach between Destin and Sandestin, you’ll be in the ideal location to enjoy a chilled post-game beverage, a tasty burger, and incredible views at The Whale’s Tale, directly overlooking the Gulf of Mexico.

Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort

Nestled between Destin and 30A lie four championship courses you won’t want to miss! Select from the renowned BaytowneBurnt PineRaven, or The Links, each equally challenging, boasting numerous accolades in their own right. Immaculate greens, lush fairways, and breathtaking scenery make the experience second to none and represent Florida golf at its finest.  Recount the day’s adventures at The Village of Baytowne Wharf, just five minutes away. Enjoy fresh seafood, live entertainment, and great views of the Choctawhatchee Bay while celebrating another great day on Florida’s Emerald Coast!
