Where to Watch Summer Fireworks in Destin, 30A, and Beyond

May 22, 2025

When you think of summer in Northwest Florida, a few things immediately come to mind. Scenic bike rides, grabbing lunch at a waterfront cafe, and long, lazy days at the beach, ending with memories that linger long after the trip is over. The cherry on top? Summer fireworks—proof that the magic doesn’t end when the sun goes down. From weekly displays to big Fourth of July blowouts, fireworks light up the sky in Destin, 30A, and beyond all summer long. Here are a few places to watch the night sky sparkle!

Summer Fireworks in Destin

Destin is known for fun activities year-round, and offers several places to watch fireworks—ideal for family outings, date nights, and unforgettable vacation memories!

Harborwalk Village

Tucked along the harbor near the Destin bridge, Harborwalk Village is a popular entertainment center buzzing with activity year-round. While fall brings favorites like the Destin Seafood Festival, summer turns up the fun with magic shows, concerts, scavenger hunts, and more. Stroll through the shops, enjoy fresh seafood at one of the many waterfront eateries, and cap off every Thursday evening with a dazzling fireworks show lighting up the harbor.

Baytowne Wharf

Located in Sandestin, just 10 miles east of Destin, The Village of Baytowne Wharf comes alive every summer with Boomin’ Tuesdays, and the name says it all. Bring the whole family for the dance party at the Events Plaza and stick around for the festive fireworks display over the lagoon afterward every Tuesday night. You can also celebrate July 4th at Red, White, and Baytowne. Listen to live music while the kids enjoy crafts, face painting, and balloon sculpting, followed by a fabulous fireworks show.

Destin Commons

Join in the fun at the Star Spangled Food Truck Festival at the Destin Commons. Spend the evening shopping, sampling tasty eats from food trucks, then top off the evening watching the night sky light up with magical bursts of color!

Ara Rooftop Pool & Lounge

The Ara Rooftop Pool & Lounge is the place to be every Tuesday. The rooftop experience is incredible, but the taco bar and fantastic drink specials are why folks keep coming back. You’ll also get front-row seats to a spectacular fireworks show to make the evening extra special.

Dinner Cruises

Hop aboard Sol Y Luna Cruises at the Baytowne Marina to catch the show at The Village of Baytowne Wharf for incredible views without the crowds. Stars, Stripes, and Sunset Sails is another option on July 4th weekend, offering a 3-course dinner, live entertainment, and a fireworks show on the Solaris yacht. Both sell out fast, so be sure to book in advance!

Sparkling Displays in Fort Walton Beach

Fort Walton Beach offers laid-back summer days that seem to go on forever. Each week, fireworks light up the sky, reflecting over the calm waterways, an ideal way to end any day on the coast!

The Boardwalk on Okaloosa Island

Beyond beachfront eateries and fun beach shops, The Boardwalk is a great place to catch the show every Wednesday night! And if you’re the type that loves an encore, they also light up the sky on Memorial and Labor Day weekends and New Year’s Eve!

Fort Walton Beach Landing

Grab coffee, browse the shops, and pick up a fun memento on the strip in downtown Fort Walton Beach. Afterward, head to The Landing for a Fourth of July extravaganza! Enjoy food from select vendors, cool treats, and live music before the show kicks off over the Santa Rosa Sound.

A Sky-High Celebration in Navarre

Once coined “Florida’s Best Kept Secret,” Navarre is now known as “Florida’s Most Relaxing Place,” and rightly so. This quiet, friendly community is all about slow mornings, lazy beach days, and paddleboarding along calm, scenic waters. Come July 4th, things liven up with the Hometown 4th of July Parade & Celebration. The day’s festivities include a children’s parade, a live band, and fireworks at the Navarre Beach Marine Park.

Festival Fun in Panama City Beach

Panama City Beach is bursting with family-friendly activities, from beachside attractions and water parks to fantastic summer events. July 4th brings the Salute to Freedom Festival, with food and refreshments, activities for children of all ages, and a seafood boil. It’s a full day of fun capped off with a dazzling show in the sky!

Colorful Nights on 30A

Known for sublime scenery, charming communities, and pristine beaches, 30A also hosts epic July 4th celebrations you won’t want to miss, and here’s why:

Seaside Independence Day Celebration: for an all-day block party at the Seaside amphitheater, including a free concert, a parade, a hot dog eating contest, and more. Even if you can’t spend the whole day, bring lawn chairs and blankets for the evening festivities.

Alys Beach Amphitheatre: for a lovely evening under the stars shared with family and friends. Pack a picnic, enjoy the coastal breezes, and close out the day with an incredible night-time display.

Rosemary Beach Bike Parade: for a full day of festivities, including a bike parade, sack races, water balloon tosses, and an old-fashioned barbecue. Kick off the event early with a fireworks show on the beach on July 2nd.
