Vacation Rental FAQs – Frequently Asked Questions

Unsure when to check-in?  Interested in bringing your furry friend on your vacation this year? We have the answers!  Scenic Stays has compiled a list of vacation rental FAQs to help you prepare for your trip to Northwest Florida because the only surprise we want you to have is a delightful one!

What time are check-in and check-out?

Check-in is after 4:00 PM on the day of your arrival.  We love when we can provide an early check-in; however, it’s not guaranteed.  If your vacation rental is ready before 4:00 PM, we will send you an email and text message to the contact information provided at booking.

Check-out is before 10:00 AM on the day of departure. For specific departure details, you can log into your Guest Connect portal provided to you at the time of booking.  More information on Guest Connect can be found below.

Where is the Scenic Stays office located?

Scenic Stays has two onsite offices at SunDestin Beach Resort and The Crescent.  If you are staying at either of these properties, the onsite Scenic Stays team is available to answer any questions you may have during your stay.

If you are a guest staying at one of our other Scenic Stays vacation homes or condos, we offer contactless check-in, meaning door codes and arrival instructions are provided to you the morning of your arrival, allowing you to go straight to your vacation rental without the need to check-in at a desk. 

Do you have pet-friendly properties?

Sure do!  Check out our pet-friendly properties if you plan to bring Fido along for the vacation of a lifetime.

Do you offer golf carts?

Nothing says beach vacation like a golf cart. That’s why some of our homes come equipped with them.  Check out our homes with a golf cart for additional details.

If your home doesn’t come with a golf cart, there are golf cart rental companies that can assist in stocking your home with a golf cart during your vacation.

Are bikes included in my vacation rental?

Some of our vacation homes and condos include bikes as part of the rental.  For detailed information on which properties include bikes, check out our properties with bikes included.

If your vacation rental does not include bikes, there are several bike rental companies in the area that can assist you with bike rentals during your vacation.

Do you offer stays of 30 days or more?

Call it snowbirding. Call it mobile working.  Whatever the reason is to be lucky enough to travel to the beach for 30 days or more, we’re here for you.  Check out our month-long vacation rentals for your next home-away-from-home.  For the best rates, we recommend calling us at (850) 390-7511.

What’s included in my vacation rental?

Is there an age limit to booking a Scenic Stays home or condo?

We consider ourselves a family-friendly vacation rental company, so you must be 25 years of age to book one of our homes or condos. 

Please note: to book one of our vacation rentals at SunDestin Beach Resort, you must be 22 years of age.

How do I check into my vacation rental when I arrive?

Seamlessly.  Whether you are staying at a vacation rental property with an onsite Scenic Stays team or not, we offer contactless check-in. This means arrival details, such as door codes, gate codes, and anything else you need to know before arriving, are sent to you on the day of arrival.  

It’s important to know that some of our properties still require you to visit the front desk to secure items like parking passes or resort bands. If you are staying at one of these properties, Guest Connect will have all the applicable information so you know what you need for a successful check-in.  Our goal is to put you in vacation mode as soon as humanly possible.

How do I learn more about the area, the property, and other relevant information about my stay?

Scenic Stays provides our guests with Guest Connect, an online portal geared to your stay.  Once you book with Scenic Stays, you can access Guest Connect for all your vacation needs.  On the portal, you’ll find property-specific information, area attractions, beach rules and safety information, and much more.  Consider it your private beach guide available to you so you can maximize your vacation.
