Scenic Stays is a locally owned and operated vacation rental property management company servicing Northwest Florida beaches.
Founded in 2018 with roots in 30A, Scenic Stays is proud to offer a unique portfolio of professionally managed vacation rental options for families of all shapes, sizes, and budgets. From amenity-packed condominium resorts to private Gulf front homes, each property is overseen by local professionals and Scenic Stays hospitality.

*All applicants must currently be attending college. Hospitality and Tourism-related majors preferred.

The Position:

Position Overview: As part of the front desk rotation, you’ll be the first-person guests meet. Your job is to offer excellent customer service, handle reservations, and ensure smooth check-ins and check-outs. You’ll help create a welcoming environment that aligns with Scenic Stays’ mission to “Deliver a Great Experience”.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Greet and Welcome Guests upon arrival with a friendly demeanor
  • Check Guests in and out efficiently, verifying reservation details
  • Quickly and professionally handle guest requests and concerns, either in person, over the phone, or by text and email
  • Assist with booking reservations and communicating any special requests
  • Collaborate and communicate with other departments to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Stay informed about resort amenities, events, and services

Position Overview: While in the Housekeeping rotation, you will be responsible for ensuring that guest rooms meet the Scenic Stays standard of cleanliness and presentation. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Inspect guest rooms for cleanliness, maintenance issues, and overall presentation
  • Coordinate with the front desk and maintenance teams to address guest requests
  • Maintain housewares and unit inventory during inspection
  • Address housekeeping complaints or concerns promptly and professionally
  • Inspect condition/quality of all housekeeping inventory
  • Assist with other housekeeping duties as required or needed.
  • Attend the scheduled weekly sessions to learn about different departments with Vacation Rentals Industry. Weekly information sessions include:
    • Guest Relations, Owner Relations, Revenue Management, Business Development, Marketing, Association Management, Property Data Support 
  • Communicate weekly with your Scenic Stays Mentor throughout the 12-week internship program

Weekly Meetings:

Each week we will dive into a specific department in the vacation rental space to better understand how each department contributes to the success of our organization. Professionals from each department will be in attendance to help answer questions and give insight.

  • Guest Services/Reservations: Prepare you to handle guests with unmet expectations.
  • Owner Relations: How to build a relationship of trust with owners of our properties we manage and help them get the most from their ownership experience.
  • Housekeeping/Maintenance: Understanding these foundational components of our industry and the significant impact they have on guest experience.
  • Revenue Management: How to maximize revenue based on demand across a wide variety of properties and locations.
  • Human Trafficking: What to know and look for in the Hospitality Industry.
  • Transferrable Skills: How these skills can translate to multiple positions in Hospitality and other customer service fields, and how to best include them on your resume.
  • Hotels and Vacation Rentals: What are the similarities and what are the differences?
  • Association Management: How do properties with multiple owners stay well maintained and how does that effort impact vacation rentals?
  • Real Estate: Since each unit is individually owned, they can be bought or sold at any time. How real estate sales is the #1 way vacation rental companies gain new inventory.
  • Hurricane Preparedness: How to prepare yourself, your guests, and your owners for hurricanes before they arrive, while they are here, and after they make landfall. We will also go over our process to ensure safety for our employees, guests and owners.
