Those of us who live here get just as excited as our visitors for Destin’s lineup of fall events. They’re a great excuse to get out, meet new people, browse the vendor booths, pick up a few Christmas gifts, and enjoy the beautiful weather! Here are a few of our favorites:
Destin Seafood Festival | September 25-27
This three-day festival takes over the Destin harbor with fresh seafood, five stages of live music, more than 70 vendors, and a family-friendly Kids Zone. Admission is free, making it an easy way to spend a fall weekend soaking up the sights, sounds, and flavors of Destin.
Moon Crush | Oct 1-3
This three-night beach/music festival returns to Miramar Beach, bringing with it an incredible line-up of contemporary artists for a weekend of live music and beachside fun. Beyond the music, enjoy full-service bars, yard games, a pickleball tournament, and more!
Destin Fishing Rodeo | October 1-31
For the entire month of October, head to the docks at AJ’s on the harbor to watch anglers bring in their biggest catches during the free daily weigh-ins throughout the day. You can also join in the fun at the 5K Rodeo run and other special events throughout the month.
Baytowne Wharf Beer Festival | October 16-17
Sample from over 200 domestic and international craft beers, seltzers, bourbons, and more at this two-day backyard bash. Grab your crew, browse the booths, and get cozy by a bonfire with your favorite brew in hand!
Sandestin Turkey Trot | November 22
Kick off Thanksgiving week with a little fresh air at Baytowne Marina. Whether you’re running, walking, or cheering from the sidelines, it’s a festive way to get into the spirit of the season.

A beloved tradition among locals and 30A regulars, this annual wine and food stroll winds through the cobblestone streets of Rosemary Beach, pairing signature bites from local restaurants with exceptional wines.
30A 10K Thanksgiving Day Races | November 26
Lace up for a scenic run along 30A, with the annual 10K bringing runners together for a beautiful coastline course. A 5K and 1-mile fun run means the whole family can join in!

Witches of South Walton Witch Ride | October 30
This is arguably the most distinctive 30A Halloween tradition. The event has been running for more than 20 years and mixes Halloween costumes, bicycles, and a charitable cause in the best possible way.
